This 100% pure rye rugbrød is a very hearty loaf with a deep, rich, full, vibrant and earthy flavour. It has a dense, moist and chewy texture, with a malty sweet smell. Naturally leavened and made with just organic rye flour, a touch of organic rye malt flour, filtered water, sea salt and fragrant caraway seeds, this classic pairing forms the base of many a good sandwiches! . Rye is very filling, sustaining and super nutritious. It is higher in fibre and naturally lower in gluten than wheat, has a lower glycemic index and is rich in vitamins and minerals. This loaf comes with the option of being sliced and in a brown paper bag. It freezes well or will keep fresh for to four to five days in a linen bag, sealed container or wrap.
